I recently joined my first membership site a little over a month ago. Actually, it was my second membership site, but I don’t really count the first one since it’s a PLR membership site. The membership site is Earn1KaDay, which is run by Dennis Becker of “5 Bucks A Day” fame.
You can watch a short video on the member benefits of Earn1KaDay.
Actually, purchasing “5 Bucks A Day” about a year ago was one of those turning points in my journey in IM. The focus issue comes up constantly with IMers and 5BaD was the first approach I ran across that really made sense to me. The premise is exceedingly simple: find a project that has the potential to earn you $5 a day and focus on nothing else for a week until it’s complete. Then do the old “lather, rinse, and repeat”.
Now, I still have several projects going on at once and I still get easily distracted, but I always have a primary project designated for the week. In the programming world we call this the “foreground task”. All the distractions are called “background tasks”. It then follows that your degree of concentration is inversely proportional to the number of background tasks you have going on.
As valuable as the 5BaD eBook is, I was very pleasantly surprised to find the purchase included free membership into Dennis’ 5BaD forum. And I must say, that Dennis really over delivers in that forum. He actively participates on a daily basis, often going out of his way to help members out with their question.
The other big surprise is that Dennis offers a ton of free downloads of some very nice resell rights products, many of which Dennis purchased as Warrior Special Offers (WSO). Dennis puts the “Over” in overdeliver!
So when Dennis first opened up Earn1KDay memberships to existing members of 5BaD, I didn’t even think twice and jumped on it knowing full well that I’d get several times the monthly memberhip fee back in quality information.
Dennis Becker is one of the truly nice guys in the world of IM. There’s no question in my mind that he cares a great deal about his members and will do a lot to make sure they are successful. I really don’t know where he finds the time to run his own business since it seems like he reponds to most posts instantly. And I know his own business ventures take up a good portion of his time.
In the few short weeks that I’ve been a member of Earn1KaDay, I’ve really stepped my game up. Dennis as well as the other members are very diligent about pushing everyone to step out of their comfort zone and reach higher. Just last week I accepted a challenge from one of the other members to build 10 websites in just 1 week. Up until now, I would be lucky to build 1 site in a week, let alone 10! But I surprised myself and cranked out all 10. Now the next time I need to get a new site online, it should be a piece of cake.
Of course, building those sites only took me around an hour per site. My secret is a system that Dennis presented as the first buisness model to the members. He calls it “Mini Money Sites”, MMS for short. This system uses the eBay affiliate program, a site framework, and a custom site generator built by Dennis.
I’ve been an eBay affiliate for a while now, but never did much with it. Now I’m seeing all sorts of possibilities. In fact, my list of projects grows every day and it will be a while before I run out of site ideas. I’m also starting to see some nice commissions coming in from eBay and what’s even sweeter is that eBay upped the commission for registrations to $25!
I really can’t recommend Earn1KaDay enough, so I’ll stop things here. The only way I can see this going wrong for you is if you don’t do anything with your membership. It’s a very fast-paced forum and I find that I need to be active on it every single day. The other members there are very experienced and also more than willing to help everyone else out. A really terrific place to be a part of.
If you’ve been looking for a new direction or a kickstart to your efforts online and you’re not afraid of some hard work then this is for you.

The 10 sites youve set up. Without giving away too much can you share them here? I’m curious to see what level of site is required for some of these efforts?
I myself worry that I’ve pushed some of my projects well past market ready before releaseing them. When do you know to stop?

Hi Paul,
I’ll email you a link to one, don’t want to publish any links here since I use an automated system that has a distinctive footprint. However, this system, coupled with my own procedures for identifying niches and site building, really speeds up the process.
This may help with your dilema of getting projects released to market quicker.

Hi. I am interested in joining earn1kaday, but I am completely new to IM. Does the program include easy website building tools, or do I have to know HTML? I apprectiate any help/insight.
Thanks,
Joel

Hi Joel,
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment. As far as site-building tools available to members at E1kaD, there is a free framework and page generator for building eBay affiliate stores or “Mini Money Sites” as Dennis Becker calls them.
I’ve written some scripts to use the eBay RSS product feed and made them free to members so you don’t need to buy addons to place eBay listings on your sites.
Here’s an example of a MMS I built using this free tool:
http://www.dslrdeals.com
Becoming an eBay affiliate is a nice way to get started doing affiliate marketing.
You can build these kinds of sites without being a Wiz at HTML, but you will need to at least be able to use an HTML editor to change things like your site name in a few files.
To be honest, I believe that anyone doing business online should learn the basics of HTML. It’s not hard and will give you the foundation for setting up websites and pages.
The real value of E1KaD however, is in the community there. There are lots of experienced marketers that are very willing to help out others. And the newer people also provide a lot of value through the questions they ask as well as their experience in other areas. Everyone, has something of value to contribute.
Dennis also buys resell rights products on an almost weekly basis and offers them free to download to members. I think dollar for dollar, you’d be hard pressed to find a better value anywhere on the Web.
I’ll also put up a post about what I think newcomers should do in order to get started making money online.
Feel free to post any more questions or comments you have and good luck getting started!

On http://www.dslrdeals.com, what is used for the “Sponsored Results for {search term}”
I’ve seen a couple places with it, but never know where it’s from.

Hi Eric,
Thanks for reminding me about that domain. Since I first made this post, I’ve parked dslrdeals.com with Parked.com – a domain parking service. I wasn’t earning too much from the original version of the site using eBay listings, however, I was ranked pretty high in Google for the search phrase “dslr deals”.
The thought was to capitalize on some of the type in traffic and earn a little income from the sponsored ads on the parked domain. The operative word turned out to be “little” income. I also eventually lost my top ranking for the domain, no doubt because it was just a parked page with no updated content.
The “Sponsored Results” page are generated from contextual links controlled by Parked.com for the parked domain. The template for this domain is what’s known as a “2-click” template where you click category links in order to get to the sponsored ads page (money page).
You can learn more about how this worked by checking out Parked.com or other domain parking companies.
I think I’ll ressurect DSLRDeals.com on a WordPress blog and try to get some organic traffic to eBay listings and a some CJ offers. Bring things back around full circle LOL!

Nothing quite like earning $1k a day.
