IM Goals For 2008

First off, Happy (belated) New Year! It looks like I’ve stumbled a bit out of the gate heading into the new year. One of my resolutions (I hate that word) is to post more frequently here at IMMania.com. I’m really going to work on that.

I got to!

Rather than hash over the same old resolutions/goals that are pretty typical when looking ahead to the coming year, I’ll just touch on a few of the more important goals that I absolutely, positively, must get accomplished.

No ifs ands or buts!

Sure, there are other “nice to accomplish” goals that I’ll keep in the back of my mind and it certainly would be great to see them come to fruition, but they’ll have to take a back seat to the ones below:

*Form an LLC for my IM business — I’ve been a sole proprietor for over 2 years now and it suited the level of my business during that time, but now it’s time to take it to the next level. The reasons for separating my business from my personal finances and liability should be self-evident. It’s now overdue, and will be put in motion immediately. I guess I’ll have to come up with a business name now. How does “IMMania, LLC” sound? Providing it’s available.

*Outsource my work — this again, is a no-brainer. I’m just plain overwhelmed with what I have on my plate now. I’m trying to do everything at once, and the net result is a lot of it just doesn’t get finished. At least when it needs to. I’ve been avoiding this “800lb gorilla in the room” for a while. Mainly because the whole business of outsourcing scares me a bit, but for that very reason, I need to get on the stick about it.

Growth in business only happens as a result of leverage – financial, human resources, and intellectual property.

*Make more efficient use of my time — yep, I spend a lot of time in front of the computer monitor, but the efficiency of my work output is somewhat less than 100%. In fact, I’d venture to guess, that if I used the same metric with that ROI as I do on most of my affiliate campaigns, I probably would have fired myself a while ago.

OK, that’s all of them. Any more than 3 items on my to do lists and the whole list suffers. And oh yeah, I will be posting here more often, maybe not everyday, but more often than just once a week. That’s unacceptable!
