My brother was grateful for the Dell laptop and has managed to get online a handful of times since returning back home. Since he can't swing the monthly cost for an Internet connection he had to resort to dropping into the local Internet cafe. Unfortunately, that wasn't a very cheap alternative since he was dropping quite a bit on lattes just to sit there while connected. Recently, he discovered he can get access to free WiFi at the local university. But at the moment, things are pretty snowed in and brutally cold there: -35F! Needless to say, such infrequent online connectivity isn't going to cut it when trying to make money online. Then again, I don't think my brother is all that motivated to make money online. At this point, it's enough that he uses his limited time to keep the blog for his band updated with the latest gig schedule. He did express some interest in writing articles for me on health supplements. I thought his PhD in biology and interest in the subject would be a good fit. However, I'm not holding my breath for those articles showing up any time soon. You really did hit the nail on the head about ”different strokes for folks”. Hopefully he knows that I'll still be eager to help him if and when he ever feels the need. I also have a few other relatives and friends that could use a little extra income and I've offered to do what I can to give them a helping hand on getting started online.
