One of the drawbacks of using the “Google Cash Method” of direct linking to a merchant’s sales page is that Google Adwords only allows one affiliate/merchant ad to be displayed per destination url. What this means in effect, is that if another affiliate or the merchant himself has outbid you, then your ad will not show if you’re linking to the same sales page.

In order to advoid building landing pages to send Adwords traffic to, some affiliates will perform a redirect to the sales page from their own domain. However, this is against Google’s terms of service and if they find out, will disapprove such ads.

Some affiliates also play sneaky games with misspelling the display url to sneak it by the automated checking. You may be able to get away with this for a few days or even a few weeks, but eventually the human reviewers will catch up with you.

A much easier way around all this is to use a parked domain and simply set it up to forward through your affiliate link to the merchant’s sales page. So if you have a domain parked at say GoDaddy.com, it’s a simple matter to set it up to be forwarded in the admin control panel. Just set it to forward through your ClickBank hop link.

You can also choose the option to mask the page title. Actually, domain forwarding has the added advantage of being a very thorough form of affiliate link cloaking. Unlike other methods such as a php redirect, your affiliate link never shows in the browser address bar.

If you’re really cheap and lazy like yours truly, you may find a generic or remotely related domain name collecting dust in your parked portfolio. I have quite a few domains that I can dust off and put to use earning their keep with this technique. I’d rather do this than buy another domain name that may prove useless after testing.

This works very nicely for my “Google Cash” campaigns for both testing out new products as well as ongoing auto-pilot campaigns.
