Using Adsense On Free WordPress Blogs

April 30th, 2008 · 2 Comments

In my last post about using a free WordPress blog for Bum Marketing, I listed not being able to display Adsense on these blogs as a limitation of the free version. Then I was reading some of the posts over at Amit Mehta’s excellent blog and ran across one about “Stuff White People Like“. In case you don’t know what this is about, it’s a blog dedicated to musings about the habits and predilections of well…white people in America. I found it interesting in the comments for this post on Amit’s blog that the blogger is actually Canadian, though I haven’t independently verified this myself.

Free WordPress Blogs For Bum Marketers

April 28th, 2008 · 2 Comments

I posted previously how I wanted to introduce my brother to the world of online money making opportunities via the “Bum Marketing Method“. My brother has just returned back home after visiting with us last week. The first step was to warm him up to the idea of using a laptop computer and eventually accept it as a gift to take back home with him. April 24th, 2008 · No Comments

I’ve been thinking quite a bit about what a college curriculum in Internet Marketing might look like. I haven’t searched on the topic, but I don’t know of any universities or colleges that offer degrees in IM. Of course, that doesn’t mean they don’t exist, just that I haven’t run across any.

Actually, with the explosive growth during the past 5 years in everything Google and industries that revolve around it such as SEO, SEM, affiliate and Internet marketing, it would be a reasonable expectation to see college level courses based around these disciplines.

Transition to eBay Partner Network - AKA ePN

April 15th, 2008 · 2 Comments

Effective April 1, 2008, eBay opened the doors to their new in-house affiliate program. Previously, the eBay affiliate program had been managed by Commission Junction (CJ) with all link tracking performed by eBay. That’s what all those canine sounding affiliate links were about:

“rover”

A transition period has been in effect during the entire month of April, where eBay affiliate links for both CJ and ePN would be active. As an added incentive for early migration to ePN, eBay is offering an extra 5% on commissions generated during April.
