There was a time not too long ago when everyone had “Adsense Fever”. Joel Comm had come out with his “Adsense Secrets” eBook followed later by Michael Cheney’s “Adsense Videos” and then by Andrew Fox and his “Dominating Adsense”. Then it seemed like everyday someone was coming out with Adsense template packs — “Get 1000 Adsense-ready templates for 2 cents!”.

I got sucked in like everybody else.

I learned how to best position my Adsense ad units and how to seamlessly blend them into my pages from Joel Comm. I drooled over Michael Cheney’s Adsense earnings of over $19k per month. I couldn’t get my credit card out fast enough to purchase his “Adsense Videos”.

Recently, I created an Excel spreadsheet of every PPC campaign I had run over the past year. This was an exercise to separate out the winners from the losers and also an attempt to figure out why they won or lost. But it was also a way for me to put time period boundaries on each campaign and use that as a reminder for when I needed to gear up for each campaign.
