When I put up my first WordPress blog about a year ago, I often had to go back and edit posts for grammatical and spelling errors. The grammatical errors could be greatly reduced if I had just spent a little more time and effort proofreading my posts.
The spelling errors on the other hand would unfortunately take much more effort to catch and correct. I admit it — I’m just a piss-poor speller and the older I get, the worse it seems to get. I’d really be lost without the MS Word spell checker, which saves me considerable embarrassment in both document creation and email writing. There isn’t a tool yet that can save me from the embarrassment of what I actually write, but that doesn’t really bother me as much.
In an effort to expand my list building experience, I created a new site based around the eBay affiliate program and the “Mini Money Site” (MMS) model taught by Dennis Becker at the Earn1kaDay membership site.
Everything went together very smoothly, especially now that I’ve gotten the hang of the MMS building process. The site building software that comes with membership in Earn1kaDay really makes the whole thing go quickly. So I loaded up the completed site to my hosting account and proceeded to open up a page in IE7. I use Firefox as my main browser, but I still use IE7 to view my sites and also for the Google Adsense Preview Tool.
I usually watch CNN after my favorite evening news program mainly because 3o minutes of “news” isn’t quite enough for me to get a fix. The content on CNN is even more light weight, but I like to leave it on in the background while I prepare and eat dinner.
There’s been a lot a buildup to the YouTube Democratic debate on CNN. They’ve played the highlights of the questions people have uploaded in their videos to YouTube.com. To be honest, the whole thing didn’t get me that excited and for the most part, just seemed like a big gimmick that would ultimately reduce the debates to a game show. But in recalling presidential debates from campaigns past, that might actually be an improvement entertainment-wise.
When putting together a keyword list for a PPC campaign you probably use your favorite keyword research tool(s) and then either manually or with the aid of additional software, break out keywords into tightly-focused ad groups. These steps are vitally important in order to drive targeted traffic to your offer as well as for keeping your cost per click as low as possible.
One aspect of keyword research that a lot of marketers overlook or give scant attention to is compiling a comprehensive list of negative keywords for their PPC campaigns. However, a good list of negative keywords will go a long way towards filtering out unwanted traffic and as a result, lower you overall PPC spend.
I use GoDaddy.com as the registrar for my domains. I know there’s debate about GoDaddy’s service and some of their policies, but to be honest, I’ve never had a problem with them for registering and managing my domain portfolio. The one thing that seems to be consistently mentioned is that their Web hosting sucks. I don’t know about that, but I’ve never considered hosting with them, so it’s a non-issue for me.
For $8.95 for a one year registration for a .com domain, I’m pretty satisfied. Sure, you can find domains cheaper, but when I find something that works, I remain loyal.
